As you can tell, I have not posted in quite a while. I really have not had that much to post about, until today. Today was like "whoah". I'm sure you're surprised that this post isn't a tv-douchebagism one, eh? hehe.
My group and I
finally finished our project in CSC178 (DarkBasic/Maya/Blender), and it was quite a relief. We finished it just in time (like 2 hours) before the showcase today in Wallace. Not that many people came though--it was just an open discussion of the latest World of Warcraft patch that's out, and how negative it was (I don't really play WoW, but I am intrigued by it). I'm pondering what
thatgirlcaitlin thinks about this new patch, hehe.
Anyhoo, the big moment of the day was tonight at Wesley Foundation worship just after the closing praise and worship set. Ken (our campus minister) was saying something along the lines of "We have one more praise tonight, we have an award we give to outstanding graduating seniors who are good at servant leadership" (segwaying into a sermon about servant leadership which was about a month ago), and yes, if ya'll didn't know, I'm graduating on December 16th.
At this time, I'm looking around the sanctuary, trying to figure out who else is graduating in December apart from me, and I got confused. I hear Ken say "This award goes to Chad", and I was completely blown away--I did not expect this at all, and was really, really touched. When Ken said "Do you have anything to say?", I did not have anything at first, due to being so touched and surprised, by then the Lord said to me "Say what's in your heart, not your mind", and said when I wanted to say. At this point, I admit, I cried--I've never felt anything like that before--feeling so loved and cared for by a group of people that big. That moment was just so amazing, like whoah.
Anyhoo, time for me to
start work on all of the crap I have to do for tomorrow...
- Presentation on PHP for ESCA
- Study for the hands-on-test (first part of our final) in EET403
- Work some more on my paper for TEC333
I bid you all a good night!
